Giuseppe Tamplini: Fantasia di Bravura su motives dell'Opera La Figlia del Reggimento by Gaetano Donizettti

Tamplini was born in Bolgna in 1817 and died there in 1888. He was one of the best known bassoon virtuosi of his time and performed at La Scala in Milan. This edition is edited by Steven Dibner assistant principal bassoon of the San Francisco Symphony since 1983. It is based on themes from the Donizetti opera The Daughter of the Regiment.
