This innovative machine eliminates some of the mystery of why some cane provides much better results than others, and why some cane provides unexpected results. By measuring the flexibility of the cane with this simple to use digital machine, the cane be quickly sorted to the player's taste. It's very simple to use:  • Clamp both ends of the cane in place  • Turn on and zero the digital read out  • Hang the weight on the actuator arm  • Read the degree of flex This machine works on gouged or pre-gouged bassoon cane only. Requires 3 AA batteries, which are included. Precision made in Germany; is no longer available. This machine is in excellent condition.
